2025 got off to a flying start as the Stockport Ladybrook Speakers Club returned to business following the festive break.

Our first meeting of the season included an education session from Claire and Sherlie who presented a master class on how to enhance a speech using pitch, pace and pause.

Our two speakers Debbie and Kayley both delivered very thought-provoking speeches with Kayley taking home the Inspiration Award for her speech entitled ‘Remarkable’. Kayley spoke about two remarkable women who have acted with bravery, strength and uniqueness and highlighted how we all have opportunities to be remarkable and make a difference.

The evening finished with a collection of very interesting speeches during our Topics Session.
